Canon EOS1000D
Canon today announced the introduction of the EOS 1000D, a new entry-level digital camera that affordably puts Canon SLR technology such as an Optical Image Stabilizer and easy-to-use professional features into the hands of emerging photographers.
The new EOS 1000D also incorporates Canon’s 10.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC III image processor, Live View mode, Auto Lighting Optimizer, 7-point wide-area autofocus (AF) sensor and 3.0 frames per second continuous JPEG burst rate where the number of consecutive shots in a burst is only limited by the capacity of the memory card in the camera.
Speedlite 430EX II
In addition, Canon also introduced the all new Speedlite 430EX II, a light and compact autoflash with high output power. It has a maximum guide number of 43 (meter; ISO 100; 105mm) and a retractable wide-panel to create illumination as broad as a 14mm lens would need. The 430EX II excels not only by its accurate E-TTL II autoflash and wireless slave E-TTL II autoflash, but also by the way it integrates with the camera.
The 430EX II has control precision up to 1/3-stop in manual output adjustment. Thanks to a new computer-controlled oscillator circuit, recycling time of the 430EX II has been reduced by 20% as compared to previous models.
Canon’s new EOS 1000D digital SLR camera and 430EX II Speedlite will be available for sales in Hong Kong in late July 2008.
