Took some pics of the Changdeokgung Palace 昌德宮 while I was attending the World Professional Bloggers-Journalist Association Convention in Seoul, Korea last week.  The pics are posted under my landscape album, link here.

Changdeokgung (Changdeok Palace, 1405) is a palace set within a large park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the “Five Grand Palaces” built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty and because of its location east of Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeokgung is also referred to as the East Palace. The literal meaning of Changdeokgung(昌德宮) is “Palace of Prospering Virtue”.

In 1997, UNESCO listed Changdeokgung as a World Heritage, recognizing its excellent state of preservation compared to other Joseon Dynasty palaces in Seoul, and its remarkable layout, which achieves harmony with the surrounding natural environment.
